| Home Leeds Housing Concern Leeds Housing Concern began as a charity in the 1970s providing housing and support for single homeless people. Now a highly successful organisation, we continue to develop new, often pioneering services for people struggling to cope with a broad range of issues including learning difficulties, drug abuse and domestic violence. Website resources As well as providing a wealth of information about LHC and our partners, this site also allows you to view case studies which illustrate our schemes. Our news page is a useful source of information about current happenings in the LHC organisation and the care sector in general. Agencies are also able to download various documents including corporate information and all of the necessary paperwork required to refer service users to places on our scheme. Do you want to help ? The Schemes LHC embraces a number of schemes, each providing its own unique role with the organisation. Click on the links below to see each scheme's own mini-site. Carr Beck For women over 40 who continue to drink alcohol. 6 self-contained flats & 6 units in the community. Men's Sector Offers 61 bedspaces for men over the age of 21 Naos Accommodation ad support for refugees Potterdale Community Resource Centre Day care services and community support for people over 50 experiencing mental health problems and social isolation. Rapport Support for LHC service users who find it difficult to live independently, in their own accommodation in the community. Sahara Black Women's Refuge Providing refuge accommodation for black women and their children fleeing from violence. Sinclair Supports 27 current drug users in homes and single tenancies. Also offers floating support in clients own tenancies. Seacole Provide supported accommodation and promotes independent living skills to young people aged 16 - 241/2 years old. Sojourner Provides 20 bedspaces for young men and women between 16 and 25. Ten places are exclusive to young black tenants. Sustain Offers floating support to 32 people at risk of losing their tenancy with another agency. Watoto Children's services and theraputic children's support. Women's Sector Offers 45 bedspaces for women over the age of 18. Young Person's Project 27 bedspaces in single-sex occupancy rooms for young men and women between the ages of 16 and 25. |
